Maverick X3 72" Tier 1 High Clearance Radius Rods

$1,335.00 USD

Looking for the ultimate in X3 radius rods that check all of the boxes?  Here they are.  These ultra high clearance are built from 7075-T6 aluminum and features an industry leading 2 inches of extra ground clearance over stock. This aircraft grade aluminum is the strongest aluminum option for our sport, twice the strength of 6061 aluminum.  Why do we choose 7075 over 6061?  The weakest part of the rod will will always be the area that surrounds the uniballs, or where a joint is threaded in.  The area that surrounds the uniballs is often severely limited to how much material we can have before it starts to interfere with the trailing arm or other components, this is the biggest stress point of the radius rod as during bottom outs the lower rod has a tremendous pull force on it.  On a threaded link we're limited to the material that is in the threads itself, we need maximum strength there as well to not pull the threads out of the rods, or compress the threads over time making the joints wobbly in the rod becoming loose.  7075 is also known for its flexibility and its memory, with a direct impact it will deflect up to 10% and spring back to its original shape, the flexibility and memory of this material is why it's used as the main structure of aircraft wings.  Furthermore all of these reasons are why this material is used as suspension "link material" for rock crawlers and rock bouncers as well as trailing arms and control arms on trophy trucks, almost never 6061.

The lower radius rods are made from 1.25" thick plate 7075 aluminum and the ends of the house FK 5/8" WSSX uniballs. The middle (toe) link is made from the same 1.25" thick plate 7075 aluminum as the lower.  The spindle side houses an FK 5/8" WSSX uniball while the frame side has our single point adjuster and a 3/4" FK JMX rod end.  This adjuster allows for full adjustment of the toe of the vehicle, all while installed and sitting on its own weight, a feature that no one else can offer.  The upper radius rods are solid 1-1/8" round 7075-T6 aluminum with 3/4" FK JMX rod ends allowing full adjustability of the camber.  One of the things that sets ours apart from the norm in the industry are the joints that we use, we use the absolute highest quality joints and uniballs on the market.  The JMX series of joints from FK is something that we've had a tremendous amount of success with over the last decade +, these are the same series joints that trophy trucks are running, there is not a better option.  These joints use a fabric based Teflon liner known as a PTFE liner. The inner joint housing is compressed to create a preload on the ball that will stay tight roughly 3 times longer than a standard injected Teflon rod end, which is standard in the industry.  We do offer boots for these joints at an addition price of $9 per joint, this increases the life of the joint even more by keeping the debris out of the joint and a small amount of lubricant can be added inside of the boot to help with moisture and lubrication.  Don't be fooled by cheap imitations using inferior joints and inferior materials or ones that you can't adjust on the car.  You may pay less up front but over the course of a year after those cheap joints wear out you're going to have more time and money invested than doing it right the first time.  The spacers in each joint are 303 stainless steel so strength and corrosion won't be an issue.

This kit when installed, allows for full adjustability of camber and toe while installed sitting at ride height.

Our business and products are based around using American products and materials, we do not source cheaper parts or materials from overseas.

Here are some basic strength differences between 6061 and 7075 aluminum and how much stronger our radius rods are being made from 7075.  What does this mean?  It means ours won't elongate, stretch, bend, dent and even scratch like 6061 will.  LIFETIME WARRANTY on our aluminum parts.
