About Us
OUR STORY
Alex started building off-road parts and vehicles from his mother's garage at 17 years old. No investors, no business plan — just a kid who liked to have fun offroad with his buddies and build cool stuff. His first vehicle was an FJ-40 Landcruiser and it was the start of a long term offroad addiction.
2007 - THE OFFICIAL FORMATION
While Alex was still working as a mechanic at Toyota, he officially started Carolina Truggies LLC which is where the "CT" in CT Race Worx comes from. It started with trucks, Jeeps, Buggies and off-road vehicles. Alex began installing lift kits, wiring, swapping axles, changing gears, 3 and 4 linking vehicles and building parts out of his mother's garage. The work was hands-on, gritty, and relentless. The quality and work spoke for itself — builds in the near future featuring Carolina Truggies vehicles landed on the covers of major off-road magazines like Crawl.
At the end of 2007, the demand outgrew the garage in less than 1 year doing it full time. Carolina Truggies moved into its first real facility and the reputation kept growing. Magazine features, truck builds, Jeep builds — Carolina Truggies was making a name in the off-road world before UTVs even existed as a serious market.
2013 — THE PIVOT TO UTVs
Alex saw the market shifting. Since 2009 he had been racing a side-by-side with what's now Alex's long time friend Bill Zemak which he still races with in Mexico in a class 1 car, and then started racing UTVs himself in 2011 in a Kawasaki Teryx. Side-by-sides were still the joke in the offroad world but were exploding in popularity and the aftermarket was wide open. While other shops were still focused on trucks and Jeeps, Carolina Truggies pivoted to UTVs changing the name and branding to CT Race Worx — bringing years of off-road fabrication expertise to a platform that desperately needed better parts. This is when fabrication skills and design experience entered the picture, allowing CT Race Worx to precision-manufacture suspension and chassis components at a level the UTV industry hadn't seen. In a world where manufacturers were moving up from the ATV industry and built things slightly bigger, he came from the big vehicle work and had to make things smaller with a better understanding of how vehicles performed. The birth of the no BS Lifetime Warranty and the entry of FK Rod Ends in the market was born right here with us. That early move put CT Race Worx years ahead of the competition.
RACE-PROVEN
CT Race Worx parts started showing up on podiums at the highest levels of UTV racing. Working with Kyle Chaney since 2014 in the early days of GNCC really got things moving, Kyle had many many championships that proved CT is here to stay. Pro racers in GNCC, TORC, LOORS, King of the Hammers, NORRA 1000, and Ultra4 events began running our components — and winning with them. 50+ pro racers over time. Multiple championships. The racing community validated what we already knew: when it matters most, our parts hold up.
TODAY — MONROE, NC — 20 STRONG
After 18+ years in business, CT Race Worx operates out of our facility at 4801 Starcrest Drive in Monroe, NC with a team of 20+ employees. We run 7 CNC machines, Amada Laser and Press Brakes, MIG and TIG welding stations, and a full fabrication shop. We manufacture parts for Can-Am X3, Maverick R, Defender, and Polaris Pro R platforms. Every part is designed, machined, assembled, and tested in-house under the most demanding situations someone can put parts through. We don't import. We don't rebrand. We build, here.
WHAT WE STAND FOR

At the end of the day, Alex is still the same 17 year old kid that started all of this. A kid at heart that still spends time offroad and has a interest for all things offroad. With over 2 decades of hands on work in the industry he still works in the shop every week and holds everyone to the same standard he holds himself, as close to perfection as it can be. This isn't just a profession, it's a passion.
While our long time interest has been a search for the next adrenaline rush in racing, we're here to provide not just to racers, but trail riders. Racing proves our strength, reliability and quality, with us doing all of our testing in those situations instead of testing our parts with trail riders. Our goal is to provide our customers with the best parts that they can buy to people that appreciate craftsmanship and quality. We want you to go out, have fun and get back to the trailer to head home after your race or ride without issue.
